Springbox Coach Education Scheme

British Gymnastics Coaching qualifications can be found on the British Gymnastics website. For an assistant coach course search for Course: Level 1, Discipline: General Gymnastics. (The minimum age is 16 to complete this course.)

Once you have found a suitable course let the Head Coach know the dates so that arrangements can be made for mentoring. We will also help with making the arrangements for the filming of the assessment and in the selection of demonstrators. (You will need to book and pay for the course independently.)

Gaining qualifications can be expensive and we recognise that not everyone will have the finance to be able to start on the coaching path.

Springbox Gymnastics will agree to pay for half of the course in return for the coach staying to coach at the club on a weekly (term time) basis for a minimum of ONE YEAR. (From the date of course completion.)

The payment for the half of the course will be paid on successful completion of the course. Please send coaching certificate via email with the receipt of the course for this to be paid within two weeks.

(Alternatively, a coach can work on a voluntary basis to raise the funds to pay for the course prior to booking it. Please discuss with Sophie / Hannah if this is preferred.)

Should a coach be leaving the club within a year for study / other paid work, we can still provide the support needed in terms of the mentoring etc but will be unable to provide the funds on course completion.
