Meet the Springbox Team

Club Coach: Sophie Ince has been involved in gymnastics for over 25 years, coaching at both competitive and recreational level at various clubs across the UK.  She is qualified through British Gymnastics in coaching both Women's Artistic and General Gymnastics (UKCC Level 3) as well as holding a BG certificate in Gymnastics Club Management. When Sophie isn't coaching, her time is spent looking after her two young children, who like to keep her very busy!


Head Coach & Pre School Leader (BISLEY):  Victoria Mitchell is not only a qualified level 2 Women's Artistic and Pre School coach but has also had a very successful career herself as a gymnast.  She represented Great Britain for a period of 5 years in tumbling, winning numerous domestic and international medals. Her career highlight was finishing 3rd in the world age group games in 2003!  


Head Coach (ODIHAM ):  Hannah Payne (Bsc)  has been involevd in gymnastics since the age of 6. She succesfully competed for many years at county level and was also selected to take part in the National Schools Final in 1995.  Her enthusiam and passion for the sport helped her to be selected as captain of both her school and club teams.  Her coaching career started when she was 14 years old and it was her love of sport that prompted her to study for a degree in Sports Science at Nottingham Trent University. She is also a qualified UKCC Level 2 (General Gymnastics) coach and Level 1 (Preschool).


Head Coach (SUNNINGDALE), Coach (BISLEY): Lucy Mortimer has been at the Bisley club for over 18 years. A  former Springbox gymnast herself, she is now able to pass her knowledge and expertise onto the children of today.  (She is also the longest serving coach at Springbox!) Lucy is a qualified Level 2 (UKCC) gymnastics coach and also has a level 2 UK coaching certificate in Sports Leadership. As well as loving gymnastics, (and sport generally) she is also a keen rugby player.


Assistant Coach  (ODIHAM):  Gemma Hilton has been a part of Springbox since 2016 coaching at William Cobbett and Odiham. She is a Level 1 qualified gymnastics coach (UKCC) as well as level 1 Sports Leader. Gemma has been a gymnast and dancer since the age of 7 and is now a competitive cheerleader.


Assistant Coach  (ODIHAM):  Emily Bomphrey has been involved in gymnastics for her whole life and has competed at elite level for the last 10 years. She is a two-time British Champion in TeamGym and has been selected to compete at the European Championships in 2020 with the Senior national (GB) squad.  She wants to pass on her love of gymnastics to children of all ages and abilities.  She is also a qualified Level 1 (UKCC) gymnastics coach.


Young Leader:  (ODIHAM):  Alyssa competed in Elite level Acrobatic gymnastics for 9 years.  She won the British Championships in 2014 (Women's pairs) which lead her to take part in the European Trials.  She transferred to Cheerleading three years ago and took part in the World Championships in 2018 and 2019, coming in 15th and 12th place respectively.


Young Leader:  (ODIHAM & Rowledge): Max has been doing gymnastics since he was 6 years old and has competed at many elite level Men's Artistic Competitions across the country and abroad. In 2018 Max Competed at the London Open, a competition open to all gymnasts over the country.  He achieved first place on floor and rings as well as second place on the pommel horse.  In addiion to this he was part of "Team South" competing at national level for 5 consecutive years.


Young Leader:  (ODIHAM): Molly has been part of the Springbox Team since 2018.  She was a gymnast for 8 years before going onto competitive cheerleading.  Her success in the sport has lead her to win two national titles.  She still actively competes in the sport.

She is currently studying for a level 3 Childcare course at college.

Young Leader:  (ODIHAM): Amelie started gymnastics when she was 2 years old and has been a trampolinist for 11 years. Amelie competes regionally and nationally in trampolining and double mini trampoline (DMT).  She came 4th in the English Championships Synchronised Trampolining in 2019.  Amelie has completed her Proficiency Coaching Award and wants to pass her love of gymnastics onto others.


Club Welfare Officer: Kate Kiln has been actively involved in the club for a number of years and coached for Springbox for a while before leaving to have her third child.  Her two eldest children are both Springbox gymnasts.  She is a friendly and approachable person and ready to listen to any issues or concerns you have regarding welfare at the club.
